Pioneering surf schools in Suances, Los Locos Surf School was created in 1999 with the aim of educating local surfers and intergrating surfing into the local community. Today, after many years, and many satisfied students we can say with confidance that we have achieved a large part of this goal. Our daily efforts to succeed have been based on three fundamental principles:

1.- To promote Surfing Philosophy through our beginner courses for all ages.

2.- To encourage a solid base of surfers through the Municipality of Suances School of Surf.

3.- To consolidate a competative team in collaboration with Jalaika Surfboards and ‘Los Locos’ Surf Shop, so that the surfers who decide to take part in competitions and are outstanding in them are supported with the best technical equipment and continuous guidance. Gonzalo Calle, Gerardo Madero, Lorena Sáez, J. Chocan y Eduardo Orduña are clear examples of expert  competition surfers who belong to our staff.

Nowadays, the school is sponsored by the renowned surfing brand Billabong, one of the  world´s top surfing labels, as well as being recognized by the Cantabrian Federation of Surf, the organisation that regulates surf in the region.
